Selena Marie Gomez is an American actress and singer from Mexican-Italian descent born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. With acting talent in her blood, Selena was destined to become a big star. Selen’s love of acting and her mother, a stage actress, have inspired her to pursue acting carrer at an early age. She debuted in “Barney & Friends” and was soon noticed by Disney and soon became famous for her role as Alex Russo in “Wizards of Waverly Place” emitted on Disney Channel. Selena’s talent was quickly noticed by Hollywood producers and she appeared in the television movies “Another Cinderella Story” and “Princess Protection Program”. In 2008, Selena signed a record contract with “Hollywood Records” and has participated in the soundtracks for “Tinker Bell”, “Another Cinderella Story” and “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Her band “Selena Gomez and the Scene” released her debut album “Kiss & Tell” on September 29, 2009.
